Getting Involved

We welcome anyone who wants to help us build authentic themed events.

First of all, what role would you play in this slice of history? We are fortunate that there is a wealth of resources available to show us contemporary perspectives, many of them searchable by year and location. Some good starters are:

Wikipedia has decent summaries by century. For example, here is a summary of European fashion in the 14th century
1300–1400 in European fashion

Remember, unless an event otherwise specifies, think of the time as approximately 1350 to 1425, located in western France. If you’ve got the time right but have different fashion or culture in mind…do you have a historically plausible reason for being there? If so, do it!

The idea is to portray something accurate. Want to be an impoverished knight campaigning behind Edward of Woodstock in the 1350s, trying to reestablish a family fortune? Wear your father’s armor from the 1330s, but make it beaten and weathered, worn with contemporary costume. There are many, many ways to build a plausibly accurate portrayal.

If you have any questions or need ideas, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll help out.
